A huge gym with every machine you've ever dreamed of ... and then some. There is so much equipment that you'll never have to wait for the one you want. There is also a lot of space so it never feels cramped.
I only joined the gym for one reason - their functional fitness room. I do CrossFit and this room is perfection. It's a large space with new equipment including two free weight lifting platforms, with an abundance of weights. There is a huge climbing rig for pull-ups, sled tracks, dumbbells, balls, dead balls, sleds, and more! I've trained there about 50 times now and every single time there is more than enough space for me to carve out my own training area.
The staff are also really friendly and make the place feel welcoming. I'm always greeted when I enter or leave and every interaction with a trainer has been pleasant.
The facility itself has everything you could ever want in a gym including a creche for kids, hot spa, ice bath, sauna, cafe with shakes and food, and lots more.
The only downside is the underground parking - it's extremely tight, stressful, and awkward and almost always busy. There are too many people who go to the gym with stupidly oversized trucks and 4WDs that simply do not fit in the carpark when there are cars either side. When you're forced into this situation it becomes an intense and anxiety-inducing experience getting in and out of your car. World Gym needs to create a specific section where only these vehicles can park - and these parks need to be 1.5 times the size of regular ones. Failing this - these vehicles must be forced to park on the roof top.
