Looking for a Gym in Melrose Park? World Gym Is Now Open

If you live in Melrose Park, Ermington, Rydalmere or anywhere along Victoria Road, the drive to Ryde or Parramatta to find a proper gym is over. World Gym Melrose Park opened on 17 September 2026, and Public Experience Week runs from 26 September to 2 October, so you can come in and train before you decide anything.

Here's what's inside, how to find us, and why this pocket of the inner-west finally has a gym worth staying local for.

A full-scale gym, finally close to home

For years, anyone serious about training in Melrose Park had the same problem: nothing nearby was big enough. Most locals ended up commuting 15-20 minutes each way, which is exactly the kind of friction that breaks a training habit.

World Gym Melrose Park was built to fix that. It's a destination club for the whole Parramatta River corridor, on Victoria Road with on-site parking, minutes from Ermington, Rydalmere, Wentworth Point and Ryde.

What's inside World Gym Melrose Park

This is the same standard our members train in at World Gym Chullora and Penrith:

  • Strength and free-weights floor: new equipment throughout, built for first-timers through to experienced lifters

  • Cardio and functional training zones: space to move, not a row of treadmills squeezed against a wall

  • Reformer Pilates studio: dedicated studio with classes included in eligible memberships, not charged as an add-on

  • Recovery zone: recovery suites, the same setup our Chullora and Penrith members already use

  • 24/7 access: staffed 4am-10pm every day, member access around the clock

Easy to reach from across the inner-west

  • Melrose Park: local; walkable for many residents

  • Ermington: minutes away by car

  • Rydalmere: a short drive, handy for Western Sydney University students and staff

  • Wentworth Point and Ryde: straight down Victoria Road with parking on site

How to choose a gym in Melrose Park

New gym or not, the checklist is the same. Does it have the equipment you'll actually use? Can you train when your day allows? Is there somewhere to recover, not just lift? Will it still make sense in month six?

We built Melrose Park to answer yes to all four, and we'd rather show you than tell you. Come in during Public Experience Week (26 September to 2 October) or any day between 4am and 10pm after that. No appointment, no obligation.

What does membership cost?

Membership options are explained in club or on the join page, where you see the full price before you commit. Right now new members pay 50% off the joining fee.
