World Gym Penrith Celebrates 18 Years with Biggest Birthday Yet!
What a day! On Saturday, 13 June, World Gym Penrith celebrated its 18th Birthday, and what an incredible celebration it was. From the moment the doors opened, the club was buzzing with energy as members, families, local businesses and the wider Penrith community came together to celebrate everything that makes our club so special.
The day marked the official launch of our brand-new bathrooms and state-of-the-art Recovery Zone, giving members their first opportunity to experience the incredible new facilities. The response was overwhelming, with members enjoying the ice baths, sauna, compression therapy and recovery spaces as part of our biggest club upgrade to date.
Across the gym, the atmosphere was electric. Our HYROX classes showcased the strength, determination and camaraderie that our community is known for, with our new group fitness timetable now officially underway. The excitement doesn't stop there, with Salto Fit launching soon and our dedicated Reformer Pilates Studio just around the corner, bringing even more opportunities for members to train, recover and thrive.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing our entire World Gym family get involved. Members of all ages took on our Dead Hang and Donut Challenge, creating plenty of laughs and friendly competition throughout the day. Even our youngest members from the World Gym community joined in the fun!
A huge congratulations goes to Demi and Luke, who took out the challenge honours with some impressive performances.
Our birthday celebration was also about giving back. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, staff, sponsors and local community, we proudly raised $3,120 for Mama Lana's Community Foundation, helping support people doing it tough within our local community. It was a reminder that World Gym Penrith is about far more than fitness—it's about looking after one another.
Another unforgettable moment was announcing the winners of our major birthday raffle. Congratulations to Colin, who walked away with the Lifetime World Gym Penrith Membership, and to our runner-up Sinitta, who also took home an amazing prize.
To everyone who attended, volunteered, competed, donated and celebrated with us—thank you. Your passion, enthusiasm and community spirit made this one of the biggest and best events in our club's history.
The celebrations didn't end there! The excitement rolled straight into our Open Week, where we opened our doors to the entire Penrith community, inviting everyone to come down, experience our world-class facilities, meet our incredible team and discover what all the hype is about.
With new facilities, new classes, exciting programs on the horizon and the best community in the business, there's never been a better time to be part of the World Gym Penrith family.
